THOMPSON, Shirley Ann

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 04/30/2013 Shirley Ann Petersen Thompson of Mesa died Monday, April 22, 2013, with her family by her side. She was born May 6, 1937, in Lakeside to Andrew Golden Petersen and Thora Webb Petersen. Shirley blessed the lives of many people. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved her Savior and did her best to live by His example. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She was the strongest link in her family’s lives and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind five daughters: Dori (Gary) Francis, Jonni Kae Roby, Robyn (Bill) Graff, Shawna (Michael) Perkins and Tanya Thompson; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Marjorie (Ardell) Ellsworth. A viewing was held April 27 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2958 S. Recker Road (at Frye Road) in Gilbert, with a service following. Meldrum Mortuary handled arrangements.
