Raymond Ray Harvey departed on his heavenly journey on April 25, 2013 at the age of 88 years. He was born in Picher, Okla., on Jan. 26, 1925, to Altie and Mary Harvey. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving his country in Germany.
Raymond worked for many years in agriculture in California, and moved to Globe in 1968. He worked for Inspiration Copper and Cyprus Miami Mining until his retirement in 1990.
Raymond loved to fish, hunt, and to make improvements to his home and yard. His greatest love in this world was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Lorrain. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Unto God’s tender care and mercy we surrender, our cherished and respected loved one.
Raymond Ray Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Altie and Mary Harvey; his sisters, Bessie Griffith, Dorothy Cawyer, and Mabel Davidson; his brothers, Robert Harvey and Everet Harvey; and his son, Jack S. Mowrey.
Raymond Harvey is survived by his wife, Lorrain Harvey; sister, Alice Ball; his sons, Giles Harvey and Leonard Mowrey; daughter, Gwen Thompson, eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland St, Globe, Ariz.
Interment at Globe Cemetery. Services were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe, 237 S Sutherland Street, Globe, Ariz. 85501.
