Betty Lou Roether, 85, passed away on April 25.
She was born on March 15, 1928 in Long Beach, Calif., to M.G. and Wanda McCreight. She was an only child.
In 1943, she married the love of her life, Robert Randall Roether, who preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 2012 just before their 69th wedding anniversary.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and son Melvin.
She is survived by her sons Michael, Robert, and Randall; her daughter Darcel Hepperle; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service honoring Betty’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (May 4) at the First Presbyterian Church, 180 N. Adams St., in Wickenburg, with a reception immediately following at the Elks Lodge.
The family thanks David’s Desert Chapel in Wickenburg for handling the arrangements.

Betty Lou Roether, 85, passed peacefully into her Savior's arms on April 25, 2013. Betty was born March 15, 1928, and lived most of her life in Arizona, including Phoenix, Wickenburg and lately Prescott Valley.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bob and a son. Betty is survived by three sons and a daughter and many grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Samuel Downing, the staff of Good Samaritan Hospice Prescott and Dr. Leon Wachtel for caring for our mother with love and respect.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church in Wickenburg, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prescott Valley Good Samaritan, who cared for both of our parents.
