GALLAGHER, James (Jim) Howard

West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, May 03, 2013 James "Jim" Howard Gallagher, 59, of Buckeye died April 2, 2013, in Tulsa, Okla. Mr. Gallagher was born July 3, 1953, in Rockford, Ill., to John Herbon Gallagher Jr. and Josephine Elizabeth Gallagher. His family moved to Buckeye in 1966. His band opened for many big name acts in Phoenix and was on a USO tour. He participated in many MDA telethons in the early 1970s. He married Christi Lynn Cooley on Dec. 17, 1977. He is survived by his wife, Christi; two daughters, Christina Hamrick and Erin Pitts; one son, Shaun; and three grandchildren. A service will be held later this year. Memorials can be sent to Jari and Kenny House, 213 Seventh Avenue West, Buckeye, AZ 85326, to help with funeral and burial arrangements.
