NOLL, Henry Christopher


Henry Christopher Noll II, died April 6, 2004 in Mesa, AZ. He was born September 22, 1915 in Dalton, Missouri, and received his education at Warrensburg Teacher's College, Colorado University at Greeley and Arizona State University. He married Jacquelyn Forney on September 7, 1940 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. They came to Mesa on September 11, 1940. Hank explored many careers and activities and is probably best remembered as a civilian Instructor Pilot for the U.S. Army during WWII at Thunderbird Field in Phoenix, AZ; Owner of Noll's Furniture Store in Mesa; Rancher and Owner of the Dos Caballos (2C) Ranch in the Superstition Mountain Foothills; President of Sheriff's Posse, and Teacher at Kino Junior High in Mesa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and during his later years spent a good deal of time traveling with Jackie in their camper and trading with the various tribes in and around Arizona and New Mexico. He was devoted to his family and he loved Arizona. Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn (Jackie) Noll; children, Jacque L. Salamy (daughter) Mesa, Henry C. Noll III (son) Ponca City, OK and Judy N. Hogen (daughter) Mesa; grandchildren, Elissa B. Salamy, Mesa, Christopher O. Noll, Ponca City, OK, Henry C. Noll IV, Ponca City, OK, Megan E. Hogen, Mesa, Emily J. Hogen, Mesa; great grandchildren, Geoffrey L. Salamy, Mesa and Melody H. Salamy, Mesa. A memorial visitation was held Sunday, April 18, at Melcher's Chapel of the Roses, 43 S. Stapley Dr., Mesa. A memorial service was Monday, April 19 at the funeral home. Graveside services Thursday, April 15, at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 7900 E. Apache Trail, Mesa.
