Merna Lillian "Koval" Wagner passed away on May 1, 2013 at the age of 89 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on April 27, 1924 in Merrill, WI to Estafi and Augusta (Pontzloff) Koval.
Merna attended Merrill High School in Merrill, WI. She moved to Milwaukee after graduation and attended Milwaukee Business school. Merna met Herbert in 1942 and they were married at St. Roberts Church in Shorewood, WI. in 1947. They built their home and were members of St. Bernadette Church in Milwaukee. Merna was active in organizations there.
In 1976, they moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ. Merna was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, was president of the past Women's society of Our Lady of the Lake, active in Catholic Daughters of America and was a member of the Ladies V.F.W. She was also a member of Havasu Art Guild of Havasu and took pride preparing for their Christmas show. She loved her home and yard and visitors were always welcome.
Merna is survived by her loving family, sons, Wayne A. Wagner of Milwaukee, WI, Dennis H. (Mary) Wagner of Brandon, VT; daughters, Cheryl L. (George) Bell of Red Granite, I, Karen M. Krogman of Milwaukee, WI; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Wagner of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Steven T. Wagner Elkhard of Indiana, Shelby and Lori Wagner of New Berlin, WI, Todd (Christa) Wagner of Glenwood Springs, CO, Jennifer English (James) of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Eric (Wendy) Wagner of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Keith (Jenny) Bell of Neenah, WI, Rebecca Bell(Bob) Holsman of Beave Dam, WI, Carl (Rebecca) Krogman of Apache Junction, AZ, Crystal Krogman (Gary) Haydu ofMilwaukee, WI, Caressa Krogman of Milwaukee, WI; 13 great-grandchildren, Skyler Krogman, Mathew Haydu, Michael, Mitch and Madison Bell, Spencer Jack, Kati and Jayden Wagner, Clair Wagner, Aaron, Anna and Malachi Krogman. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert T. Wagner, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11:00 AM with a Rosary starting at 10:30 AM with Father Chauncey Winkler officating.
