Shryock, 90, of Prescott, Ariz., born Nov. 2, 1922 in Meadville, Pa., passed away May 7, 2013. Services will be 11 a.m. May 10, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury St., Prescott. Final commendation will be 12:30 p.m. at Pioneers' Home Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Friday, May 10, 2013 Edward Charles Shryock passed away at his home in Prescott, Ariz., on May 7, 2013, at the age of 90. Born in Meadville, Pa., Ed joined the U.S. Marine Corps at the start of World War II, where he met fellow Marine Jennie Southford. They married in 1944, and moved to Prescott in 1961. He was a longtime member of the Mountain Artists Guild and shared his love of woodcarving at Sharlot Hall Museum's annual Folk Art Fair. Ed is survived by his sons Gregory Shryock of Prescott and Steven Shryock of New York City, N.Y.; daughters Barbara Clark of Tempe, Ariz., Katherine Hood of Indiana, Pa., and Rita Shryock of Chino Valley, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
