Norman Grant Woolsey Sr. was born 5 Oct 1922 in Gila New Mexico and died 2 May 2013 in Chandler, AZ.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Dorothy, and is survived by his daughter, Denise (Ray) Gamboa, sons Norman Jr. (Lauri) and Eric (Deb), nine grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.
Norman bravely served as a ball-turret gunner for the USAF during WWII. After pouring his heart and soul into his 30 year tenure with the AZ Game & Fish Department, he spent the rest of his life as an author, historian, artist, musician, cowboy, gardener, collector, husband, father, grandfather and friend—until he passed away peacefully at the age of 90.
A man of true integrity and character, we will miss him dearly as we celebrate his life as a gift to us all.
Funeral services will be held today, Saturday, May 4th at the LDS Chapel located at 532 S. Greenfield Rd., Mesa, AZ at 10:00 am, visitation prior at 9:00.
