RosaLee “Chalita” Romero Hightower, of Tucson died May 4, 2013 at the age of 65. She was born in Willcox, Ariz. on Nov. 28, 1947 to Joe Romero and Rosalie Garcia Romero.
RosaLee was a retired assembly worker at Raytheon in Tucson and was baptized at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter Veronica Coberly of Beverly, W. Va., and her son Robert (Betty) Rivera of Washington State; and her grandchildren Courtney Coberly, Dillon Coberly, Emily Coberly, Diego Rivera and Gabriela Rivera. RosaLee’s brothers, Rudy (Melva) Romero of Willcox, Ray (Angelina) Romero of Tucson and Art Cajigas of Sacramento, Calif., and her sister, Frances Tedla of Willcox, also survive her.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Freddy G. Romero, brother-in-law Marcus Tedla and her husband James (Jim) Hightower.
A Rosary will be offered at 7 p.m. on Wednesday May 8, at Westlawn Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
