SWARTZWELDER, Mark L.

Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on May 10, 2013 - Mark L. Swartzwelder, 53, born on March 12, 1960, departed this life peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2013. Born in Akron, Ohio, Mark was raised in Munroe Falls and attended Stow High School. He moved to Arizona in 1994. Mark loved people and made friends easily. His good-natured humor made him a great storyteller. He was an avid reader and knew a little something about everything. One of his favorite things was listening to and playing music while barbecuing for all his friends. He loved to go fishing with friends and come back with stories about who caught the biggest fish. Mark met Carol when they were neighbors in Kingman. They have been together until his passing. Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Erma Swartzwelder; he is survived by his longtime companion and soul-mate Carol; sisters, Cathy Conlon and Lynn Benton (Donnie); sons, Jacob and Andrew; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mark will be missed dearly. At his request, he went back to Ohio to be with his Mom and Dad, but his spirit is still in Kingman. There will be a memorial service for him at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at 4295 Benton St., Kingman. Mark's video tribute will be available at www.redmonfuneralhome.com.
