RIVERA, Henry (Hank)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Saturday, May 11, 2013 Henry (Hank) Rivera, born Sept. 18, 1915, left on his last journey, returning home to his Heavenly Father on May 7, 2013. His family was at his bedside. Hank had a very adventurous life. He was married to Mary Stephanie and had two children. Mary preceded him in death. Hank spent time in the Merchant Marines during WWII and eventually settled in Flagstaff, Ariz. This is where Hank met and married Mavis B. Hyde Rivera who had four daughters and one son. Hank and Mavis spent many months traveling around the United States including Hawaii. After returning to Prescott, Hank became active in the community, volunteering at the VA Hospital, driving Meals on Wheels and became well known for his entertainment and piano playing talents. Hank leaves behind his adoring wife of 39 years and his family. No funeral services at this time at the request of the family. Information provided by survivors.
