KITTLESON, Shirley Lucille

(Maiden Name: Higgins)

Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory - Lake Havasu City, AZ - Shirley Lucille Kittleson, 74, passed away on May 06, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on June 05, 1938 in Yuma, AZ. to Doyle and Margaret (Ruby) Higgins. Shirley resided in Lake Havasu City for the last 8 years, coming from Ridgecrest, CA. She was a lifetime member of DAV, VFW and the American Legion. She was retired as a bar manager/bartender for the DAV club in Burbank, CA. Shirley was very kind and generous, but she did know how to put her foot down and wave that finger and say "enough is enough". She enjoyed watching and attending football games and was an avid Denver Broncos fan and took her football games very seriously. She even started following golf so that she could jinx Tiger. Most of all, Shirley had a great sense of humor and could be a real "hoot" with some of the tales she told. We are all going to miss the fun and craziness of Daisy Bee. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Vickie Yount of Lake Havasu City, AZ. and Debbie Meier of Naples, FL.; sons, Jay Meier of Arvada, CO. and Randal Meier of Firestone, CO.; sister, Pauline (Ron) Bowersox; granddaughters, Cassidy Lee, Willow Romberg, Sparkle Romberg and Megan Meier; grandson, Joshua Meier; great grandchildren, Garrett, Alyssa, Christopher and Dante and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse and her brother, Frank. Contributions can be made in Shirley's name to the DAV, VFW or the American Legion.
