Lake Havasu Mortuary & Crematory - Lake Havasu City, AZ - Samuel R. Correa, 59, passed away on Saturday, February 02, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on September 10, 1953 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Geronimo and Lina Rodarte (Martinez) Correa. Beloved husband of 40 years, cherished father and family man, dedicated grandfather, reliable friend, faithful follower of Jesus. Sam married the love of his life, Terri, on July 01, 1974 in St. George, Utah. Together they moved to Lake Havasu City 19 years ago, coming from Norwalk, CA. Sam dedicated his life to supporting his family through his love of working as a master boat assembler. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren, enjoying the roughhousing and teasing that often characterized their time spent together. Those who really knew Sam loved him dearly, forever to be remembered as a man of humor with joy in his heart for all. In the dark of night, Sam was a man who saw the glimmer of light, able to find the humor in nearly every situation, even in his final days. He will be remembered as a man of strength and courage who will be dearly missed and will eternally live in our hearts. Sam is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Terri J. Correa; children, Margarita R. Gonzales, Samuel R. Correa Jr., Elida Rodarte, Daniel R. Correa and Robert R. Correa; grandchildren, Frederick Leon III, Angelina C. Leon, Mariah R. Gonzales, Sergio A. Gonzales Jr. and Daniel R. Correa Jr.; brothers, Manuel Martinez and Ismael Martinez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Geronimo Correa and Lina R. Martinez. Visitation will be held at Rischer Montebello Mortuary, 1316 W. Whittier Blvd, Whittier, CA. from 11:00 am - 12:00 PM on Friday, February 08, 2013. Graveside service and Interment will take place at 12:45 PM following visitation at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello, CA. Services in Lake Havasu City will take place at 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Calvary Chapel, 1881 W. Acoma Blvd., LHC, AZ. with Pastor Ray Carter officiating.
