Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on May 16, 2013 - Richard Sosa Alvarado, 52, passed away peacefully in his home Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was born July 28, 1960, in Torrance, Calif., and has resided in Kingman for over 20 years. Richard served proudly for the U.S. Navy from 1978 to 1985. Many people will remember Richard as the friendly, energetic taxi driver from the Kingman Cab Company. His many passions included spending time with his family, listening to oldies and finding many treasures throughout Kingman. He is survived by his wife, Frances Alvarado; daughter, Leticia Alvarado; three sons, Richard Sosa Alvarado Jr., Robert Joseph Alvarado, and Raymond Alvarado. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren as well as his large family in California, Nevada, and Texas. Services will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave. in Kingman. All family and friends are welcome. His family has set up The Richard Alvarado Memorial Fund on GiveForward.com in his honor to help pay for final funeral costs.
