Donald Ziegler Mock Jr. 40, passed away on October 14, 2008.
He was born February 24, 1968 at the US Naval Station Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan. Born into a Navy family, he lived in Jacksonville, NC and Jacksonville FL, moving to the Mesa area at age 9. He graduated from Chandler High School where he was a member of FFA and was a State Vice President of Arizona FFA.
His current occupation as a community relations manager with Jobing.com was a perfect fit for his outgoing personality. Don served his community as a volunteer on the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Committee, Arizona Battle Bots IQ and served on the Boards of Jobs for Arizona Graduates and Arizona Small Business Association.
He enjoyed hunting deer and elk with his dad and friend Fred. Don was an avid pool player and took part in various tournaments in Phoenix and Las Vegas. His family believed he could have been a chef. He liked to cook and was willing to try any recipe and his efforts were well received.
Don is survived by his wife, Victoria, parents, Don and RoseMary Mock, Mesa; sisters, Erin Rigby (George) Anaheim, CA, Rebecca Mock, Denver, CO, Melanie Mock Glendale, AZ and Andrea Silva (Ben) Gilbert, AZ and niece & nephew Anastasia and Marcos Silva.
Visitation will be held 6-8 PM on Mon. Oct. 20 at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr. Chandler, AZ with Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Tues. Oct.21 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 230 W. Galveston St. Chandler,.
