Greg McPhee, 58, passed away on July 25, 2007 while working in
Ashkelon, Israel.
A service will be held at Queen of Heaven Mortuary, 1562 E. Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 10:00 AM.
A reception will immediately follow. Greg will be laid to rest at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Born May 30, 1949 in Boothbay Harbor, Maine to parents Cecil and Helen McPhee, he was a passionate golfer, life-long traveler and gourmet cook.
His friends and family knew him as Mr. Fix-it, whether he was working on something around the home or building bush planes and flying throughout Alaska.
After retiring from 17 years of service to the State of Alaska in 1997, he moved to Arizona and began working for Enron and GE as a Senior Technical Engineer. His position allowed him to travel all over the country and abroad. He was well known and loved by all who worked with him.
His family writes, "Greg was a hard working family man who was sincerely devoted to spending time with family and cherished his moments playing with his grandchildren. He gave freely and was always there for all who needed help."
He is survived by Dennyne McPhee; son and daughter-in-law Garry and Heather Hormann, of Chandler, AZ, son Shane Hormann of Anchorage, AK, son Ryane Hormann of San Antonio, TX, son and daughter-in-law Ethan and Georgianna Hormann of Anchorage, AK; grandchildren, Garry, Brandon, Michelle, Ethan and Brayden; brother and sister-in-law Michael and Debbie McPhee of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Susan McPhee of Lyme, ME and sister Terry.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sandra McPhee.
