Willcox Range News, Willcox, Arizona Tuesday, April 23, 2013 Flossie Mae Pearce 1929-2013 Flossie Mae Pearce, of Willcox, died April 21, 2013 at the age of 83. She was born in Centreville, Ala. on Dec. 15, 1929 to Floyd Roy Campbell and Ila Mae Cruise Campbell. Flossie was a graduate of McAdory High School in Bessemer, Ala. in 1949. She married Robert F. Pearce on Aug. 3, 1950 in Albuquerque, N.M. and moved to Arizona in 1951. She and her husband resided in Bisbee for numerous years where she was a 4-H leader (taught sewing), a member of the Frontier Homemakers Club and the Catholic women’s group at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Flossie worked for Cochise College as a purchasing aid until she retired in 1994 and eventually moved to Willcox. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the St. Anne’s Society and the NCCH Auxiliary for 10 years. Survivors include her daughter Deborah (Jerry) Sunderland of Willcox and her son David L. (Virginia) Pearce of McNeal and her grandchildren Sabrina (Mike) Starr, David (Jennifer) Pearce, Jr. and Cody Sunderland. Her great-grandsons Carter Pearce, Warren Pearce, Memphis Pearce and Austin Starr and great-granddaughter Daphne Pearce; and brothers Charles Campbell of Lewisburg, Penn., Billy F. Campbell of Hanceville, Ala. ,Willie W. (Donna) Campbell of Tucson and brother-in-law James (Beverly) Pearce, also survive Flossie. Preceding her in death was her husband Robert F. Pearce in 1991, a son Robert M. Pearce in 1994, a sister-in-law Jeanette Campbell and her step grandson Jeffery Sunderland. A Rosary and Eulogy will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 2 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Cremation will follow the Mass with interment of her cremains in Evergreen Cemetery in Bisbee at a later date.
