NARRAMORE, Ronald M. (Corky)


West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Tuesday, May 21, 2013 Ronald M. "Corky" Narramore, 80, of Palo Verde died May 16, 2013. Mr. Narramore was born March 12, 1933, to Jack and Mavis Baker Narramore. He attended Palo Verde Elementary and graduated from Buckeye Union High School in 1951. He married Wanda Nichols on Dec. 6, 1952, and then served two years in the Army. After his discharge from the Army, he worked the family farm and also had a cow-calf operation and raised purebred Limousine cattle. He served as district supervisor for the Buckeye Natural Resource Conservation District for 34 years and received the Goodyear Conservation Farmer of the Year award in 2000. He also served as chairman of the Buckeye Water and Conservation Board. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda; one daughter, Lori of Kentucky; one son, Russell of Palo Verde; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Palo Verde Baptist Church, 29600 W. Old Highway 80 in Palo Verde.
