BEGAY, Jonathan Antoine (Jon Jon)

Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Jonathan Antoine "Jon Jon" Begay (December 9, 1998 - May 15, 2013) Jonathan Antoine Begay, 14, also known to us as "Jon-Jon" was born on December 9, 1998 in Phoenix, Arizona to Janita Charley and Carlos Begay and entered into rest suddenly on May 15, 2013 in Whiteriver, Arizona. Jonathan was raised by his maternal grandparents, Randall and Janice (Declay) Charley, Sr., and his mother, Janita Charley, in Whiteriver, Arizona. He was a compassionate, loving, and friendly young person. He loved to draw and write poems when he was alone. He always loved to joke around with his family and friends. Jon loved his hip-hop and rap music, and video games. He always told his little brother, Rowen, to stay in school and stay out of trouble. He adored his little sisters and looked after them. Jon was also a helping hand especially when it came to washing dishes and cleaning the house. Jonathan attended Cradleboard Elementary School and the Canyon Day Junior High School, and would have finished the 8th grade. Jonathan had set his goals in life; it was to finish school and enroll into the military. He always told his mother that when he comes back from the military he was going to help her out at home. Jon will be dearly missed by everyone especially his mother, brothers and sisters, and Grandma and Grandpa Charley. Jon is survived by his parents, Janita Charley and Darren Susan. His biological father, Carlos Begay; his brothers: Shane and Rowen Begay; sisters: Cierra Begay, Jacita Charley, and Chelsea Susan; his maternal grandparents: Randall and Janice (Declay) Charley, Sr., his paternal grandparents: Mike and Shirl (Ben) Begay; his uncles: Ryanson, Reyedel, and Randall Charley, Jr. Aunt: Delilah Charley. Cousins: Randall Trey Charley III, Nezhoni, Ryder, and Kornelius Charley and he had many family and relatives. Jonathan was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Paul and Dollie (Clarkson) Declay, Sr.; and Annie B. Charley. Also, his granduncles: Paul Declay, Jr., Stephen, Serrano, and Donnie Declay. Uncles: Elvis Declay, Fernando Declay, and Kay Joey Bonito. A two night wake will begin on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. in Northfork, 5830 N. 2nd Street, at the residence of his grandparents, Randall and Janice D. Charley. A home funeral service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cementary. Jonathan Antoine Begay, we miss you and we will always love you, forever.
