J. M. Beaver, after a lingering illness of several months, died yesterday at the advanced age of over 80 years.

Deceased leaves a widow and several grown children to mourn his loss.

His funeral took place this afternoon from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. M. L. McNealy, Cortez Street.

Attended by quite a number of friends and relatives.
