Kathleen Crowell, 52, of Gilbert, passed away on December 23, 2006, in Mesa. She was born on December 29, 1953, in San Fernando, California, to Robert (Jerry) and Vivian Crowell.
She graduated from Canoga Park High School, in Canoga Park, California, and received a certificate in licensed practical nursing from the Simi Valley Technical Institute in Simi, California.
She devoted her professional career to nursing. She worked in hospital emergency rooms, in pediatric care for premature babies, in burn units, and in nursing homes with geriatric patients.
She was active in a 12-step program and enjoyed more than 17 years of sobriety. She also enjoyed gardening and riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
She is survived by her grandmother, Lucille Conover; parents, Robert and Vivian Crowell; sisters and their husbands, Constance and Steve Pepper, and Colleen and Gerald Crum; nephew and wife, Allen and Elena Saine; niece, Cassandra Saine; and close friends Erika Russell-Cline and Marsha Cline.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 1730 West Guadalupe Rd., Mesa. Wake and Rosary will be held Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. at Wyman Cremation and Burial Chapel, 115 S. Country Club Dr., Mesa.
