Mohave Miner, Kingman, Arizona Territory Saturday, June 9, 1900, page 4, column 2 Death of Mrs. Bourke Mrs. H. A. Bourke, mother of Mrs. J. C. Potts, died Thursday night at the residence of her daughter in Kingman. Deceased was aged over seventy-three years at the time of her death. Mrs. Bourke went to California with the Argonauts of '49 and removed to Prescott in 1865, at which place she remained until taken sick a few months ago, when her daughter brought her to Kingman, believing that a change of climate would be beneficial. She was an energetic woman and accumulated considerable property in Prescott. Her body was taken to Prescott last night for burial. ----------------------------------- Newspaper Unknown June 10, 1900 Died at the residence of her daughter Louisa Zaff Potts where she had been taken a few months before her death for health reasons. Mrs. Bourke had gone to California with the Argonauts of '49 and moved to Prescott in 1865. It was attended by a large concourse of citizens. Deceased was an old resident of Prescott and was highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves one son, John Bourke at present a resident of Phenix, and a daughter, Mrs. J. C. Potts, a resident of Kingman. -------------------------------------
