The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona May 29, 2008 Donna M. Peters, 72, passed away peacefully May 23rd from complications after surgery. She was born April 10, 1936 in Centuria, Wisconsin to Thomas and Flora Burke. She moved to Arizona in 1951. She was married to Robert (Pete) Peters on June 14, 1958. She is survived by her husband Robert and sons Ron (Sue), Randy (Terry), and Rick (Monica), sisters Mary Willcott of Minneapolis and Margie Plumos of Surprise, AZ; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The wife and mom of every boy's dreams, she loved camping and fishing with her family. she was the mom (#1) that always made it to her sons little league, Pop Warner, and high school sporting events. Later in life she would sit on her patio, eat a hot dog, drink a beer and cheer on the D-Backs/Suns with her husband and sons, and made sure to send home baked goodies for her grandchildren. She was a long time employee of Mountain Bell retiring in the early 90's. In retirement, Donna loved spending holidays and vacations with her husband and sons families. She also loved her time spent with long time friends (the lunch crew) on afternoons socializing. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. Her family could try to portray the beauty of her life for a life time and not get it as perfect as she did on her own. Let it be said that she was always loved and from now on forever missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Friday, May 30, 2008 at 10:00 at Christ the King Catholic Church 1551 E. Dana Ave., Mesa, AZ with Father Steven Kunkel officiating. Burial will follow services at Queen of Heaven Cemetery 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Queen of Heaven Mortuary. Published in The Arizona Republic on May 29, 2008
