Elizabeth Mildred Rhoton, born August 30, 1919 in Taylor, Arizona, entered into rest on May 18, 2013 in Winslow, Arizona.
She began working in a grocery store at the tender age of nine years old and had worked in Winslow most of her life. She worked at Central Drug, Douglas Food Store and was a cashier at Babbitts for 22 years.
She became a business women when she and her husband purchased Winslow Photo Supply between 1959 - 1960 and was in business serving Winslow for severayears.
Mrs. Rhoton belonged to the Emblem Club and Rebekah’s . She also was certified to teach Genealogy and instructed classes for NPC for seven years. Mrs. Rhoton was classified as an outstanding teacher. She had also been very involved in the LDS Church in Winslow and had volunteered her time with many projects and activities in the Winslow Community.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Kay Rhoton McLaws (John); 20 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her brother; Byrtle Vernon Kartchner, sister, Zelma DeVilleneuve, brother, Sheldon McCleve Kartchner, brother, Lynwood Hasting Kartchner, sister, Etta Ruth Kartchner, sister, Georgianna Kartchner Kelly and sister Fern H. Kartchner O’Neil.
