The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona, October 10, 2010 Faris, Robert M. 67, of Gilbert, AZ passed away on Thursday October 7, 2010. Robert served as a WWII Air Force B-24 Bomber pilot. He enjoyed an active civic life and was elected Director of the Midland, TX Downtown Lions Club from 82-83 and was a choir member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Midland, TX. Robert is survived by his wife of 63 wonderful years, Eloise Faris, daughters Linda Sue Faris and Vickie Lee Murch, and son, Robert Christopher Faris, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A Prayer Services will take place, Monday, October 11, 2010 at 9:30 am at Queen of Heaven Mortuary Chapel 1562 E. Baseline Rd., Mesa, AZ 85204 with committal service and Military Honors to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Queen of Heaven Mortuary.
