Silver Creek Mortuary, Taylor, Arizona Bernice Truax (October 11, 1935 - May 21, 2013) Bernice (Ethelbah) Truax, 77, went to be with the Lord, May 20, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona. Bernice was born October 11, 1935 to parents Custer and Alice (Alchesay) Ethelbah. She was employed in California and employed with a day care center for many years. She enjoyed working with young children. She is survived by her brother Stacey Alchesay; children James Truax, Melvin Truax, Lilly Curley, Arlinda Kessay, Robert Zahgotah, Nathan Zahgotah, Henry Truax Jr. Herman Truax, T.J. Truax, Cornildlia Clendon, Gerald Altaha, Amanda Altaha, Jasper Altaha; traditional Goddaughters Jackie (Quintero) Antonio, Beverdine (Dazen) Cosay, Melinda (Bush) Lupe, and Juanita Charley; and many other great grandchildren, friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Truax. A wake will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 10:00 AM at 6 East Locust Street. A home service will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 12:00PM. Interment will take place at 1:00 PM at the Whiteriver Cemetery.
