He was born Oct. 21, 1935, in Enid, Okla., to Wayne and Virginia Legg, who preceded him in death. Jimmie served in the U.S. Army for four years. He then met his life partner, Sue, and they were married in Thurman, Iowa, on March 26, 1960. They lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, for 12 years before moving to Brunswick, Ohio. Two years later, they relocated to Las Vegas, Nev., and lived there until Jimmie retired from United Airlines after 38 years as an aircraft mechanic. They then moved to Pahrump, Nev., for eight years, Shenandoah, Iowa, for four years, and finally to Prescott Valley for the past two and a half years. He was a member of the Shenandoah Lodge and an associate member of the Prescott and Pahrump Lodges. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association since 1989 and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Jimmie and Sue spent much of their free time traveling, fishing and camping. They enjoyed sitting around the campfire at their Dust Devil RV Club campouts and participating in "hangar talk" at the airport in Pahrump. Jimmie was an ultra light pilot and loved the desert.
