West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona, Friday, May 24, 2013 Stella Barela, 84, of Avondale died May 17, 2013, in Phoenix. Ms. Barela was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Albuquerque, N.M., to Emilio and Felicita Baca. She is survived by one son, Frank; four daughters, Darlene, Kathy, Shirley and Elizabeth; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. today at Advantage Crystal Rose Chapel, 9155 W. Van Buren St. in Tolleson. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Road in Avondale.
