Kenneth Wayne Stringer went home to be with his maker the morning of Sunday, May 25, 2013. Wayne was a young soul at the age of 48 years old.
He was born at Mesa Lutheran Hospital Nov. 14, 1964, in Mesa to Kenny and Kathleen Stringer. Wayne has three siblings; two sisters, Debbie and Becky, and one brother, Robert.
Wayne married the love of his life, Carol Sue Stringer, April 21, 1984. Together, they raised a family of five children: Michael Butler, Jeffrey Butler, Garret Butler, Jamie Van Kirk and Bradley Stringer. Wayne has joined his son Garret Butler (died of cancer Oct. 12, 2012) in eternal peace.
Wayne enjoyed being his own boss and doing his own thing. He did things for everyone and was loved by everyone for that. He did not have a selfish bone in his body; he would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.
Wayne spent his free time doing what he loved best, fishing and camping. He spent many summers at Hawley Lake. And even there, Wayne was the boss.
Wayne’s employees could say it best, “Your check will reflect.” He demanded perfection on his job sites and in his homes that he built. With a love/hate relationship from his crew.
Wayne made a friend by everyone he came into contact with. He was loved and respected by many people.
“Wayne, we will love you forever and you will never be without us. In our hearts you will be always! God bless you my husband and the father of my children. We don’t know what we will do without you!”
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 8, at the Blueridge Christian Center. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. with services starting at 11 a.m.
Wayne will then be laid to rest at the Lakeside Cemetery. Please come share your memories with his family. After the services, family and friends will return to Blueridge Christian Center for a luncheon.
