Services will be 1 p.m. May 31, 2013, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, Ariz. Committal service will be at 11 a.m. June 3, 2013, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Ariz. Arrangements by Shadow Mountain Mortuary. ~~~~~~~~~~ Shadow Mountain Mortuary, Phoenix, Arizona William Charles Staggs Jr. January 1, 1932 - May 25, 2013 William Charles Staggs, Jr. was called home to be with his wife of 50 years, Eleanor, on May 25th in Prescott, Arizona. William was born on January 1, 1932 in Kalvin, Arizona to Charley and Vivian (Needham) Staggs. William graduated from Phoenix Union High School in 1949 and was drafted into the Army in 1954 where he served as a driver for the Colonel at Ft. Lee. in Virginia. William had many interests and loved hunting and fishing and traveling with his extended family. After moving to Mayer, Arizona, he was an active member of the local NARFE group. He is survived by Clifton Staggs, his only surviving sibling; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Foster of VA, Annalee Staggs of WA and Dorothy Staggs of AZ, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his wonderful sense of humor. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 31st at 1:00 PM at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd., Phoenix. A committal service will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 11:00 AM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix.
