The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 05/31/2013 Judith Miller Lowery, 67, of Shumway died Friday, May 24, 2013, at Haven of Show Low after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 31, 1944, in Prescott and spent time growing up in Hillside, Tolleson and Arkansas. She was the youngest daughter of two, born to Archie B. and Dorothy (Reagan) Miller. Judith worked for several government agencies throughout her life and enjoyed working as a dispatcher for the Arizona Department of Agriculture the best. After retiring in the late ‘90s, she became a full-time homemaker so that she could enjoy watching her grandchildren grow up. Judith married Aug. 14, 1965, and after 48 years of marriage leaves behind her husband Lester A. Lowery; daughter JoanEllen Lowery-Lowry; two grandsons: Mark Allen and Waylon James Lowry; two great-grandchildren: Zoey Marie and Blake Allen Lowry. She also leaves behind her sister Jolene Miller, as well as several nieces and nephews. Judith wished to have only a gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life at a service to be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, at the Love Lake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 700 E. Love Lake Road in Taylor, immediately followed by a luncheon. Later that evening, there will be a cowboy dinner at the home of The Lowrys’, 3109 Love Lake Road in Taylor, beginning at 5 p.m. and all are warmly welcomed.
