Robert Morrison Smart, 76, of Dewey, Arizona, died May 29, 2013, at his home in Dewey. Bob was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts on May 22, 1937 to proud parents, Leon Warren Smart and Grace Isabel (Morrison) Smart, who have both preceded him in death.
Bob lived in the Prescott, Arizona area since 2000. He moved here from Phoenix upon retiring from the U.S. DOT, Federal Highway Administration, where he was a financial specialist. He had previously worked at the Beefeater Restaurant in Phoenix. While living in the Boston area, he had worked in nightclubs in Boston, Brighton and Cambridge, as well as working for the U.S. Postal Service for many years.
He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Bob enjoyed his friends and family, and living in the Prescott area.
Survivors include his wife Laura of Dewey; daughter Tracie Smart of Cambridge, Massachusetts; step-son Lt. Commander Jason Mays; and his half-sister Grace Cheverie, of Boston, Massachusetts.
He was preceded in death by his son, John Christopher Smart, of Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away in 2002.

Robert Morrison Smart, 76, of Dewey, Ariz., died May 29, 2013, at his home.
Bob was born in Winthrop, Mass., on May 22, 1937, to Leon Warren Smart and Grace Isabel (Morrison) Smart, who predeceased him.
Bob lived in the Prescott, Ariz., area since 2000. He moved here from Phoenix upon retiring from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, where he was a financial specialist.
He had previously worked in nightclubs in Boston, Brighton and Cambridge, Mass., as well as working for the U.S. Postal Service for many years.
