GOWER, Nathon Jared


The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, June 02, 2013 Nathon Jared Gower of Prescott Valley, Ariz., passed away on May 25, 2013, at the age of 22 due to congestive heart failure. Born in Glendale, Ariz., he shared a passion for ice hockey with his father, the late Scott A. Gower, playing from the ages of 8 through 18. His father coached his high school team, and Nathon also went on to coach high school ice hockey in the Prescott area. Additionally, he proudly contributed to the family business, Games People Play in Prescott, as a service technician. Nathon is survived by his son, Andrew, age 4, mother Margie Gower-DeRosa, stepfather Mark DeRosa, three brothers, Bennett, Adam and Jonah, two stepbrothers, Matthew and Joseph, one stepsister, Jessica, and one niece, Kolbie. A visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, Ariz., 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013. The memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Peace Lutheran Church, 18265 N. 89th Ave., Peoria, Ariz.
