Winifred Ann Mitchell, 77, of Goodyear died June 1, 2013.
Mrs. Mitchell was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Chicago to James and Irene V. McGrath.
She taught elementary school and worked in a retail store. She also worked as a travel agent for 10 years and traveled extensively in the United States and Europe, as well as Mexico and the Caribbean.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Mitchell Jr.; one daughter, Carol M. Gay; and one brother, James McGrath.
A visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, with a Rosary recital at 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Road in Avondale.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 W. Thomas Road in Avondale.
