CURBEY, Dorothy Jean

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, June 04, 2013 Dorothy Jean Curbey, age 82, passed away at her home in Globe, Ariz., on Saturday, May 25, 2013. She was born in Miami, Ariz. on Jan. 22, 1931. On June 25, 1950, she married Roy Curbey after only one date. They enjoyed almost 63 years together. They have two sons, Troy and Vern, three grandsons, two granddaughters, 8 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Dorothy also has numerous nieces and nephews. For many years Dorothy was an active bowler. She volunteered her time at the Gila County Historical Museum and Miami food share program. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, and she loved camping and fishing with family and friends. Dorothy’s favorite past time, however, was spending time with her family. Visitation was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Miles Funeral Services Globe Chapel, 237 S. Sutherland St., Globe, Ariz. Graveside services were held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Globe Cemetery, Hackney Avenue, Globe, Ariz. Services were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe, 237 S Sutherland St., Globe, AZ 85501.
