Claude Joseph Grabski passed away May 25 at 12:40 p.m. in Chino, Calif., after a long battle with cancer.
When he was 16 years old, he joined the Merchant Marines and at 18, he joined the Army serving in the occupied Korean War from 1947-1948. His orders took him to Japan, but then he was called back to Korea for combat in 1950-1951. After his tour of duty, he came home to the United States and met and married Geneva McDonald and they had three children. He owned and operated his family’s baking business, Felix Baking Co., in Los Angeles, Calif., and was know as the “Pumpernickel Prince” for many years. Once retired, he became a welder for Ameron Steel. He met and married Robina Montgomery and moved to Lake Havasu City, where they enjoyed their retirement with many friends and being members of the Eagles, Elks, VFW and American Legion.
He is survived by his children, Claude Joseph Grabski III, Kevin (Kim) Grabski and Kathy (John) King.
He will be missed by his family and many friends who knew and loved him.
There will be no funeral services; he will be place next to his wife at their shared niche at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
