The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 06/11/2013 Gary L. Nelson, 70, of Florala, Ala., died June 4, 2013, at home in Alabama, the results of an accident. He was born March 2, 1943, in Los Angeles, Calif. He retired from the telephone industry and also served his country in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife Barbara Nelson of Alabama; children: Sharon Nelson, Judy Nelson and Gary L. Nelson Jr., all of Pinetop; sisters: JoAnn Thompson, Pat Paquette and Judy Lemerand and brother Larry Nelson of Las Vegas, Nev. He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Nelson, mother Leona White and sister Sharon Hinman. Funeral services will be held at a later date in Las Vegas, Nev.
