She was born July 7, 1927 in Monterey Park, CA to Kirby & Lois (Ford) Malone. She is survived by her two sons Robert W. Lupin of Enterprise, AL and Daniel (Vikki) Lupin of Prescott, AZ; her sister Dorothea (James) Barsugli of Banning, CA; grandchildren Jeremy, Jamie, Jared, and Jason; and great-grandchildren Matthew and Kiana. Helene lived 85 years, 11 months, and 4 days. ~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, June 23, 2013 Helene Lorraine Lupin, 85, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Willow Wind Assisted Living Residence in Prescott. She was born July 7, 1927, in Monterey Park, Calif., to Kirby and Lois Malone. She married Patrick Lupin in May 1949 and they lived and raised a family in Torrance, Calif. Patrick, the love of her life and husband of 48 years, died in 1998. During her years in Southern California, she worked as an administrative assistant to various education administrators in the Torrance Unified School District, West Torrance High School and the California State College at Dominguez Hills. She moved to Prescott from Lomita, Calif., in 1986. After moving to Prescott, she worked for three years as Department Secretary to the College of Arts and Science at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. She was an avid dog lover, and owned and enjoyed the company of many dogs through the years. She loved to read and play bridge with friends. She is survived by sons Robert Lupin of Enterprise, Ala., and Daniel Lupin of Prescott, Ariz.; sister Dorothea Barsulgli of Banning, Calif.; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Jamie, Jared, Nicholas and Jason; and great-grandchildren Matthew and Kiana. A private cremation was at Mountain View Crematory in Prescott, Ariz. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott assisted the family with arrangements. Information provided by survivors.
