Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - Connie Louise McLaren passed away June 8, at the age of 60 in Lake Havasu City. She was born June 22, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Joseph Lorance and Twyla May (Plummer) Richter. Connie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet her. Connie is survived by her sons, Keith McLaren, and his wife, Vickey, of Lake Havasu City, and Curtis McLaren and his girlfriend, Theresa, of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Maddison M. McLaren and Lukas S. Vollaire, both of Lake Havasu City and Allison N. Funke, of Orange, Calif.; five sisters, Patricia Mccowan, of Lake Havasu City, Joanne Britton, of Moreno Valley, Calif., Virginia Ryan, of Lake Havasu City, and Diane McLaughlin, of Norwalk, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews; and two very special four-legged children, Cocoa and Buttercup. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Curtis Ronald McLaren. A service will take place at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Wednesday, at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Kathy Kenney offering words of comfort.
