Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Phyllis Foresta Pryor, a resident of Lake Havasu City, AZ since 1996 died at home on Thursday, May 30, 2013. She was born on July 21, 1929, in New Jersey. Phyllis is survived by 6 sisters: Angeline, Annette, Mary, Ruth Ann, Diane, and Linda; 5 children and their spouses: Dennis and Don, Gregory and Theresa, Cynthia, Richard and Carla, and Jonathan and Sheila; 12 grandchildren: Joy, Jon Mark, Leif, Heather, Kerrie, Ashlea, Joshua, Matthew, Elizabeth, Addison, Jona, Belina; and 5 Great-grandchildren, Avery, Ella, Tucker, Autumn, and Hudson. Phyllis was born into an Italian family with the given name of "Filomena" Foresta. She was raised in greater Bergen County, NJ with her nine sisters and one brother. In 1948 she was married to Frederick Crawford and later in 1953 she was married to Richard A. Pryor. In 1954 she moved from New Jersey to Oregon, later California and Arizona. After many years of being a “stay-at-home-mom” she earned her Associate of Arts Degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in 1969. Phyllis had a successful career in nursing. She retired from California Department of Corrections after being employed as a nurse for 10 years. The most important to Phyllis was her family whom she loved and cherished dearly.
