Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow, Winslow, Arizona Juan Palacios June 16, 1920 - June 11, 2013 Our father and grandfather Juan A. Palacios was called home to be with our Lord on June 11, 2013. Juan was born on June 16, 1920 in Puebla Mexico to Francisco and Rosa Palacios. He came to Arizona in 1943 to work on the ATSF. He met and married Emily Hernandez and was married for 67 years. He worked for the railroad for 38 years. He and his wife also owned and ran Emily’s Bakery and was one of the last bakeries in Winslow. Juan is survived by his children: John (Teresa) Palacios, Lupe (Arthur) Molina, Dolores Palacios, Margaret Palacios and Danette Palacios. He has 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. His cousins: Salvador, Martha, Esperanza Palacios, Ivonne, Maribel, Ivette Palacios all of Mexico. Preceded in death by: Wife Emily Palacios, Parents Francisco and Rosa Palacios, uncle and aunt Francisco and Sophia Palacios and his beloved grandmother Guadalupe Palacios. Holy Rosary for Juan Palacios will be recited on Monday, June 17, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 9:30 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00, Celebrant, Father Jeffrey King. Interment to follow at Desert View Cemetery.
