Carol Ann Banks, age 58, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at home in Fort Mohave, Arizona.
She was born on November 12, 1954, in Long Beach, Calif. to Robert and Marge Pope. She went to high school at Robert A. Millikan High and graduated in 1972. She went on to Rolling Hills, Calif. and became a partner in a Shell Gas station.
Carol was full of life, strong, independent, hardworking mother with a loving and generous heart. She loved riding horses, taking the boat on the lake, lying out by the pool, watching movies, eating pomegranates and playing with her grand-kids and cherished her two dogs, Sara and Holly
Carol relocated to Bullhead City in 1981. That same year she met her first husband of eight years, Bob Stoyanoff. She launched her career in business with the Rain Tunnel Car Wash, which she owned and operated for eighteen years, (1981-1999). After selling the car wash she relocated to Fort Mohave, Ariz. She then married Ron Banks in 2003. Together they built the Neighborhood Car Wash in 2005. Carol finally retired seven years later in 2012 and devoted her time to her beautiful grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Banks; three daughters, Jessica Steichen, Teann Stoyanoff and Brooke Pollock; stepson, Jeff Banks; four grand-kids, Sam, Benjamin, Hadley and Addison; and sisters, Bobbi and Brenda.
Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Church of Nazarene Christian Joy, 1746 Joy Lane, Fort Mohave, Ariz. 86426.
