JORDAN, II, John Rankin

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona October 1983 John Rankin Jordan II, 64, died Oct 27, 1983, at Prescott V.A. Medical Center. Born July 14, 1919, in Prescott, he was the son of local pioneers John Rankin Jordan, a barber, and Love Hattan Jordan (06 Nov 1892-Oct 1978), a teacher. A World War II veteran, he served in the Philippines and Australia. He later graduated from barber college in California. After barbering at several local shops, he settled at the Palace Barber Shop, where he worked for more than 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Pat; two sons, Johnny Jordan III and Bobby Jordan; a brother, Robert Jordan; two sisters, Love Galadez and Jewel Hendricson; and nine grandchildren. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
