Chas Goddard and Frank Cox were murdered Sunday evening at Goddard's Station in New River, about 30 miles southeast of here. The murderers are supposed to be two Mexicans, who were last seen headed toward Phoenix. Sheriff Cook took the trail Tuesday morning and if there is any man in the country that will find them, Billy Cook is the man. New River is his old stamping ground and he knows every foot of the country. Goddard leaves a family who reside in Phoenix.
