News-Herald (Wickenburg AZ) Saturday, January 24, 1903, p 5 C F Smith, a timberman employed at the White Cloud mine 12 miles east of here, fell from the scaffolding in the main shaft of the White Cloud to the bottom of the shaft, a distance of about thirty feet, striking on his head and dying at once. The accident occurred Tuesday. Acting Coroner Judge Gilbert summoned a jury who brought in a verdict of accidental death, exonerating the company from all blame.
