COTHRUN, Kenneth L.

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, June 18, 2013 Kenneth L. Cothrun, age 87 of Globe, Ariz. passed away on June 13, 2013 at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz. He was born in Wagoner, Okla. on Aug. 18, 1926, the son of Roy and Josephine (Schrimsher) Cothrun. He worked as a Foreman for Inspiration Copper Co. and had 42 years of experience working in the mining industry. He lived in the local area for 67 years. Kenneth enjoyed deer hunting, traveling and rock collecting. Kenneth served his country proudly in the U.S.Army during WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Charles Cothrun and Trent VanMeter. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Patsy (Buster) Cothrun; his daughter, Linda Stephens (Vern) of Mesa, Ariz.; his sons, Ronald Cothrun of Globe and Jeff Cothrun (Rhonda) of Mesa, Ariz.; his two sisters, Kitty Dillon of Farmington N.M., and Bettie Hawkes of Albuquerque, N.M.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lamont Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Miami First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Pinal Cemetery. Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
