NORDMAN, Helen Marie

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Friday, June 21, 2013 - Helen Marie Nordman (Nana) passed away at the age of 71, Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in Lake Havasu City. She was born Dec. 13, 1941 in Belvidere, Ill. She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Nordman; and her four children, Jon Nordman (Jenyne), Kay Sykes (Lee), Sue Bridwell and Kim Nordman. She also has eight grandchildren, Jay, Alex, Kyle, Marissa, Jeffrey, Ian, Jack and Kevin. Helen graduated as a registered nurse from Swedish American Hospital School of Nursing in 1962 and spent most of her career delivering babies in Illinois and Arizona. Though her kids are full-grown and she eventually retired from delivering babies, Helen’s motherly instincts stuck. She took care of her family and kept them close. Since being retired, Helen was content with reading numerous books in her free time and enjoyed having “coffee time” with friends and family. Helen impacted a great number of lives and left little bits of knowledge and happy memories in many. Even in the worst of times she always had open arms and the best advice. She will forever be missed and loved in our hearts.
