FAHRLANDER, Ronald Lee (Ron)


Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on June 19, 2013 - Ronald Lee Fahrlander, 71, of Kingman passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. Ron was born Feb. 18, 1942, to William and Josephine Fahrlander in Aurora, Ill., where he grew up. After high school, he worked for Caterpillar Inc. until he moved to Kingman in 1973, where he started his own floor covering business. Ron had a passion for building homes and went on to obtain his contractor's license, building several homes in the Kingman area. Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, golfing and astronomy. He was a loving, devoted dad, grandpa, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed and loved more than he will ever know. Ron is survived by two children, Laurie (Eddie) Allen of Kingman and Kenny (Nicole) of Boise, Idaho; his sister, Janet (Lynn) Cate of Batavia, Ill.; grandchildren, Kendra, Bret, Brad, Brittany and Breanna; great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Grayson, Kaylynn and Colton; and several nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, William and Josephine Fahrlander, and his brother, James Fahrlander. The services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, at Sutton Memorial Funeral Home, 1701 Sycamore Ave.
