Nadine Cole Donaldson, beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in Levan, UT from complications sustained in a fall. She was 86 years old.
Nadine was born February 13, 1927 in Safford, AZ to Thomas Marion Cole & Clella Higgins Cole. She is the granddaughter of Heber and Lizzie Higgins and Leota Farley Cole Hooker. She was raised in Gila, New Mexico, Miami, Arizona, and then Silver City, New Mexico where she graduated from High School in 1945.
She married James R. Donaldson on June 19, 1944 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple, and together they had four children. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church, and served in many positions. She served an LDS mission with her husband in Virginia and Colorado from 1981 to 1982. Nadine was devoted to her family, to those in need around her, and to her church. She leaves a legacy of love, devotion, and service.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Bob) Wood of Lander, WY; Pamela (Neil) Harris of Nephi, UT; Debra (Don) Hubbs of Mesa, AZ; and, Burke Donaldson of Mesa, AZ; 24 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Pat Lofgreen, brother, Bill (Jana) Cole, and sister-in-law Mayrice Cole.
She is preceded in death by her husband James R. Donaldson, her parents, sister Leota Cole, and brother Thomas L. Cole.
