SAUNDERS, Kirk James

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Sunday, June 23, 2013 Saunders, Kirk James, 49, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on May 15, 2013. Born in Flagstaff, he graduated from Saguaro H.S. in Phoenix. In the Army he was station in Germany. He had an associate degree in accounting but worked in many fields including long haul trucking. A car and motorcycle enthusiast, he worked for a wholesale nursery in New River at the time of his death. He is survived by his father, Charles J. Saunders; a brother, Charles “Buzz” Saunders, Jr.; a sister, Cheryl Brown, all formerly from Flagstaff who currently reside in Scottsdale; a daughter, Angel Saunders and one granddaughter, Phoenix, AZ. A memorial service was held at the Streets of Destiny Church, an inner city ministry in which he was deeply involved. Support for the Streets of Destiny Church can be sent to 3444 E.
